About us

about me
Welcome to the Avonlea FDC family!
My decision to develop my own home care business was driven by a desire to provide a service for families that catered to their unique needs.
I have worked for the past 10 years in the education system as an Education Assistant in K/PP at St Michael’s Catholic Primary School, Brunswick and Our Lady of Lourdes School, Dardanup.
my family
My husband Jerome and I have been so lucky to bring our children up on the family farm at Waterloo, named Avonlea.
We recently purchased a home in East Bunbury to try out the city lifestyle. Our beautiful children Sofia and Oliver are able to walk to their high school, They are delighting in all the sleep ins and extra time now that they don’t have to catch a bus!
Even our pet cats Millie and Mavis and our dog George Washington have made a smooth transition.
We are very happy in our new home and can’t wait to create more wonderful family memories!
We have a very close-knit family, and my kids are a big part of Avonlea FDC.
my service philosophy
I support children’s need to be able to express themselves which I find they can do through creative arts, outside play and interacting with other children and other adults.
I believe that the children should be able to have agency and a choice of what they would like to achieve throughout the day, as well as some structured play. It should be the child’s choice to become involved in the structured play.
